Yellow winged Cacique

If you have seen hanging bird nests around Puerto Vallarta, they belong to the yellow winged Cacique. These nests are braided and are so strong they can stand hurricane winds. On the picture you can see a Woodpecker as well.

The video above is a wild Great Green Macaw. Eating seeds from the Moctezuma revenge tree. If you eat this seed you can dehydrate from the bad diarrhea it will give you. This is the seed that Moctezuma put in the food of the Spanish conquistadors to poison them.

The Great white Egret is another bird that is common to see around the bay. Sometimes you can see them flying in V formation.

Brown Pelicans are very common on the beach. You can always see them diving for sardines and other floating fish.
