¨The best horseback riding in Puerto Vallarta¨.

This is one of the best tours or activities in Puerto Vallarta,

The wonderful country’s natural scenery is awesome for horseback riding.

This is an experience you will never forget.

A  great way to see the local farming communities or traditional local towns up close.

The van ride to the ranch goes through the farming communities and is very interesting.

For example the farming village of Las Palmas Jalisco. With only 10,000 population. Relaxing traditional town square with stores and shops.

You will feel like you have stepped back in time several hundred years.

These towns keep the cobbled stone streets, paint everything with white, red tile roofs, no buildings higher than four stories and no traffic lights.

Once you arrive at the ranch, you may be greeted with some ¨Cafe de Olla,¨ or coffee from the clay pot. Made with cinnamon and Cacao. This is the traditional coffee since the coffee comes from a local tree called ¨Capomo¨.

Once everyone is ready the guide will give the group a small riding class.

Every one’s horse is picked and matched to the rider by experience and temperament.

Horses are available for experienced riders and some horses do come with cruise control for beginner riders.

The horse ride begins by riding to the river bed. Sometimes during the rainy season the river is over flowing which adds a little excitement to the ride. The horses do cross the river several times.

This is a real experience of horseback riding through the semi tropical jungle.

Sometimes you may be caught in the middle of the ride by a nice refreshing down pour.

Horseback riding up and downhill, until the horses can not go any further.

The horses are tied and the hike begins.

You may need to cross hanging suspension bridges.

At the end of the hike you will find  the hidden refreshing waterfall.

Cool off and enjoy the clear 60 ft waterfall with mainly spring water.

After enough time for  everyone to enjoy the water, everyone starts the hike back to the horses.

Feels great to be back on the horses after the nice hike.

Back at the ranch, a nice full Mexican grilled food lunch is awaiting.
