Health Care in Puerto Vallarta

One of the major concerns for foreigners from the United States, Canada and Europe is the quality and availability of the health care they will receive in Puerto Vallarta. Whether, it is a one week vacation, four months a year or retirement in paradise, your health should always be your number one concern. In the past thirty years, between the boom in Tourist travel and the increase in the number of people deciding to retire here, Puerto Vallarta has grown from a sleepy little fishing village to a vibrant city with a population of over 200,000. Fortunately our Medical Facilities have kept pace and now have some of the most technologically advanced facilities on the west coast of Mexico.
We have two fine full-facility Hospitals in Puerto Vallarta staffed by English speaking personnel. One is Cornerstone Hospital and the other is part of the Ameri-Med group.

For those of you not planning on living here year round, we do recommend that you purchase Travel Health Care Insurance from your home country.  Generally speaking Health Care costs in Mexico are substantially less expensive than in the USA, the bills for emergencies and/or extended stays can become costly.
